Dr. Taraneh Javanbakht's expertise and works are in molecular biology and cell biology.
She received her second master of science (M.Sc.) degree in biology from
the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2011. She did her second M.Sc. thesis research in the laboratory of molecular biology at
the University of Quebec in Montreal. Her second M.Sc. thesis was on the regulation of
Pax3 gene expression by the Cdx transcription factors.
The results of her research works were published in the
Journal of Biological Chemistry in 2012. This article is available

Her work in her master thesis in molecular biology revealed the mechanism of the
pax3 gene expression in Neuro2a cells.
Dr. Taraneh Javanbakht has co-supervised several research projects in cell biology at the
Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal. She has also carried out research on the bacterial biofilms at the
University of Montreal.
